Production Supervisor –

Location: Witney Salary: 39,000

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing operation.

This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will lead a team of approximately 6–10 production operatives, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, quality and efficiency.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment and be confident leading a team while remaining hands-on with day-to-day production.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate a team of approximately 6–10 production operatives.

Allocate daily tasks and manage workflow to meet production targets and deadlines.

Lead by example and remain hands-on throughout the manufacturing process.

Support the operations using Counterbalance FLT and assist with stacking finished products in the yard.

Carry out daily equipment checks and basic maintenance where required.

Monitor material and ancillary stock levels and report shortages to the Production Manager.

Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of products within your area.

Ensure production areas and batching areas are maintained to a high standard of housekeeping.

Train and support new operatives, ensuring they understand processes, quality standards and safe working practices.

Promote and enforce Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Identify and escalate any Health & Safety, quality, equipment or personnel issues.

Maintain clear communication with production operatives, supervisors and management.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Previous supervisory or team-leading experience.

Strong knowledge of production processes and quality control.

Experience working to production targets and tight deadlines.

Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.

Basic mechanical knowledge and confidence carrying out routine equipment checks.

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and team management abilities.

A proactive, reliable and hands-on approach.

The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Counterbalance FLT licence/experience.

Requirements

Flexible and reliable approach to working hours and production demands.

Willingness to work hands-on and lead by example.

Rate of Pay

£39,000.00 per year
