A leading manufacturing business based in Bicester are seeking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to work closely with the senior management team and managing director. The role requires the Supply Chain Manager to forge strategic partnerships with critical suppliers.
Reporting to the General Sales Manager, successful applicants will ideally be required to have obtained at least 3 A-level exams at grades A to C, and a standard of SCM professional education to Diploma level from IoSCM or recognised equivalent, and at least 7 years relevant experience within the manufacturing industry or recognised equivalent experience.
The business prides itself on quality and customer delivery so the role will play a pivotal role to ensure the supply chain operation runs effectively while seeking to improve the material flow end to end.
The position will be involved in the strategic management and performance of the supply chain function with emphasis on On Time Delivery. The expectations of the Supply Chain Manager are to review fit for purpose performance matrix that will drive the right outcomes for the business.
*Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy
*Continuously liaising with stakeholders and managers across the business
*Responsible for the all-encompassing day to day running of the function
*Determine key supply chain KPIs
*Instigate CI and lean methodology as and where required
* Manage the supplier management system including ISO9001:2015 pre-qualification questionnaires issue and evaluation, criticality rating, supplier audits and verification for supply
*Drive Supply Chain performance measures for inventory reduction, stock turns and cost improvement
*Lead inventory modelling, reporting and action plans
*Provide constructive feedback
*Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors
*Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
